Turkey expects largest number of Ukrainian tourists in June-July
The tourist season in Turkey has not yet fully begun. The largest number of Ukrainian tourists is expected in June-July.
Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said this during a conversation with Ukrainian journalists in Antalya.
“Compared to last year, many more tourists from Ukraine come to Turkey. The number of guests from Ukraine is constantly growing, and I hope that we will receive many more tourists from Ukraine starting from June and July,” the minister told an Ukrinform correspondent.
He stressed that the amount of information in Ukrainian in hotels, prominent places, and various attractions is growing; in particular, the number of guides and information in Ukrainian in digital format is increasing.
“Many tourists from Ukraine visit Turkey and we try to make them happy,” the minister added.
According to him, the increase in tourist flow was also influenced by the fact that from May 15, the requirement to provide a negative PCR test result before the trip was canceled.
As Ukrinform reported, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko paid a working visit to Turkey on April 27. Following the meeting with Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, the parties signed a joint declaration on strengthening cooperation in the field of tourism between the two countries.
