Half a million CoronaVac doses more delivered to Ukraine

In the evening of April 30, half a million doses of CoronaVac COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by the Chinese company Sinovac were delivered to Ukraine.

"Despite the shortage of vaccines in the world, we are doing everything possible to provide Ukrainian citizens with vaccines. According to the agreements and contracts, we plan to receive new batches of vaccines every week. I want to remind you that all vaccines are safe and effective. This is our chance to save our health and return to a normal life," said minister Maksym Stepanov, the Ministry of Health posted on Telegram.

As reported, the first batch of CoronaVac vaccine (215,000 doses) arrived in Ukraine on March 25, and it has been used for vaccination since April 13. In total, Ukraine has contracted 1 million 915 thousand doses of CoronaVac.

COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Ukraine began on February 24, 2021. CoviShield vaccine, developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca, Sinovac Biotech’s CoronaVac, Pfizer vaccine, SKBio vaccine created by Oxford University and AstraZeneca are registered and used in Ukraine.
