Kyiv city, nine regions remain in ‘red’ zone – Ministry of Health

Kyiv city and nine regions in Ukraine remain in the “red” zone of the COVID-19 quarantine, Ukrinform reports with reference to data published on the Ukrainian Ministry of Health's website.

As of April 26, Kyiv city, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernihiv regions are in the red zone

The COVID-19-associated hospitalization rates (60 per 100,000 people) are exceeded in 14 regions: Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions.

As of April 25, the highest COVID-19-associated hospitalization rates were recorded in Khmelnytskyi region – 99.4 per 100,000, Cherkasy regions - 83.2, and Sumy region – 80.9. In Kyiv city, this rate amounted to 58.3.

As of April 25, the highest occupancy rates for oxygen-supplied beds were registered in Donetsk region – 69.2% (with the established capacity set at 65%).

As reported, Ukraine recorded 5,062 new coronavirus cases on April 25.
