Kyiv reports 1,027 new COVID-19 cases

Kyiv city has recorded 1,027 new coronavirus cases in the past day, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"+1,027 confirmed coronavirus cases (in total, 191,165),” the mayor wrote on Facebook.

Among people who have contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv in the past day are 593 women aged 18-89 years; 16 girls aged 1-16 years; 405 men aged 19-85 years; and 13 boys aged between 7 months and 16 years.

Some 29 coronavirus deaths were confirmed in Kyiv over the past day. Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of deaths from COVID-19 in the city has reached 4,415.

At the same time, 19,636 people recovered in Kyiv over the past day. In total, 119,737 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As of April 24, Ukraine reported 2,017,341 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 12,711 new cases recorded over the past 24 hours.
