Occupancy rates for oxygen-supplied beds exceeded in Kyiv city and six regions

Kyiv city and 12 regions in Ukraine remain in the “red” zone of the COVID-19 quarantine, Ukrinform reports with reference to data published on the Ukrainian Ministry of Health's website.

As of April 22, Kyiv city, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv and Chernivtsi regions are in the red zone

The COVID-19-associated hospitalization rates (60 per 100,000 people) are exceeded in Kyiv city and 16 regions: Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions.

As of April 21, the highest COVID-19-associated hospitalization rates were recorded in Khmelnytskyi region - 110.4 per 100,000, Cherkasy regions - 92.9, Chernihiv region – 92.4, and Sumy region – 82.4. In Kyiv city, this rate amounted to 68.1.

As of April 21, the highest occupancy rates for oxygen-supplied beds were registered in Odesa region – 68.8% and Donetsk region – 68.7% (with the established capacity set at 65%). In total, occupancy rates for oxygen-supplied beds are exceeded in Kyiv city and six regions.

As reported, Ukraine recorded 16,235 new coronavirus cases on April 21.
