IOM delivers 18 t of humanitarian cargo to occupied territories of eastern Ukraine

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has delivered humanitarian cargo to the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, according to the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.

"Today, April 15, 2021, the International Organization for Migration sent five trucks carrying humanitarian cargo with a total weight of 17.97 tonnes ... The cargo, including medical equipment, was transported through the Novotroitske checkpoint,” the report says.

The ministry also reports that another 10 trucks of humanitarian cargo from the IOM are expected to be delivered in the coming days.

As previously reported by the president’s spokesperson Iuliia Mendel, in 2020 international organizations sent 76 convoys with humanitarian aid to the occupied territories of eastern Ukraine, while Russia - only five convoys.
