Ukraine, Turkey sign agreement on housing construction for Crimean Tatars

President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomes the signing of an intergovernmental agreement between Ukraine and Turkey on the construction of housing for Crimean Tatars, which will allow building about 500 apartments for internally displaced persons.

He said this during a joint briefing with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan following the bilateral talks in Istanbul, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the president, this agreement is an extremely important humanitarian project that will bring our peoples closer together.

As Ukrinform reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky was on a visit to Turkey on April 10. The ninth meeting of the High-level Strategic Council between Ukraine and Turkey was held under the co-chairmanship of the presidents of the two states.
