Kyiv reports 1,605 new COVID-19 cases

Kyiv city has recorded 1,605 new coronavirus cases in the past day, bringing the total number to 175,872, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"+1,605 confirmed coronavirus cases (in total, 175,872),” the mayor wrote on his Telegram channel.

Among people who have contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv in the past day are 922 women aged 18-95 years; 45 girls aged between 2 months and 17 years; 607 men aged 18-93 years; and 31 boys aged between 8 months and 17 years.

Some 51 coronavirus deaths were confirmed in Kyiv over the past day. Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of deaths from COVID-19 in the city has reached 3,848.

At the same time, 695 people recovered in Kyiv over the past day. In total, 110,832 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As of April 10, Ukraine reported 1,841,137 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 17,463 new cases recorded over the past 24 hours.
