Government working to increase number of oxygen-supplied beds – PM

The government is working to increase the number of beds supplied with oxygen at COVID-19 designated hospitals.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal wrote about this on his Telegram channel.

"Oxygen therapy is one of the most important life-saving treatments. As of today, there are 64,000 oxygen-supplied beds in Ukraine, and the government is constantly working to expand their number. Because of this, there is a need to increase the volume of oxygen supply to the hospitals," Shmyhal said.

He and Health Minister Maksym Stepanov discussed this issue at a meeting with oxygen producers.

Ukraine recorded 19,419 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 1,803,998.
