Kyiv reports 1,226 new COVID-19 cases

Kyiv city has recorded 1,226 new coronavirus cases in the past day, bringing the total number to 158,993, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"+1,226 confirmed coronavirus cases (in total, 158,993),” the mayor wrote on his Telegram channel.

Among people who have contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv in the past day are 702 women aged 18-99 years; 20 girls aged 1-17 years; 456 men aged 18-96 years; and 40 boys aged between 1 month and 16 years.

Some 39 coronavirus deaths were confirmed in Kyiv over the past day. Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of deaths from COVID-19 in the city has reached 3,274.

At the same time, 464 people recovered in Kyiv over the past day. In total, 104,617 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As of March 27, Ukraine reported 1,632,131 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 17,424 new cases recorded over the past 24 hours.
