Over 17,900 people already vaccinated in Ukraine

Over the past day, March 7, 910 people received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Ukraine.

In total, 17,947 people have been vaccinated since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, according to the Vaccination against COVID-19 portal of the Ministry of Health.

"Over the past day, 910 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine ... In total, 17,947 people have been vaccinated since the beginning of the vaccination campaign – all of them received the first dose of the vaccine," the report reads.

Vaccination against coronavirus in Ukraine started on February 24.

On February 23, 500,000 doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca (Covishield) vaccine, purchased at the expense of the state budget, were delivered to Ukraine.

The Health Ministry expects to receive another 1.5 million doses of the Covishield vaccine by March 31. In early March, 117,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine are expected to be delivered to Ukraine as part of the global COVAX Facility.
