G7 ambassadors ready to help Ukraine deliver its vaccination program

The ambassadors of the G7 countries have welcomed the beginning of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Ukraine and said their countries were ready to help Ukraine deliver its vaccination program and recover from COVID-19, according to the Twitter account of the UK Presidency of the G7 Ambassadors' Support Group in Kyiv.

"In a meeting with Health Minister [Maksym] Stepanov, G7 Ambassadors welcomed the beginning of Ukraine's vaccination campaign and underscored the commitment of their countries to help Ukraine deliver its vaccination programme and recover from Covid-19," the tweet reads.

The ambassadors also discussed Ukraine's need for continued health system reforms that deliver effective healthcare and the best possible outcomes for Ukrainian patients.

"Transparent health procurement remains vital," they said.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Ukraine began on February 24. As of February 28, more than 3,000 people in Ukraine have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
