Ukraine reports 6,295 new coronavirus cases

A total of 6,295 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Ukraine in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 1,299,967.

"Some 6,295 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been recorded in Ukraine as of February 20, 2021. Among those who have fallen ill are 429 children and 223 health workers," Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov posted on Facebook.

According to the minister, 73 deaths, 4,539 recoveries, and 2,225 hospitalizations were recorded and 67,017 COVID-19 tests were performed in Ukraine over the past day.

Over the period of pandemic in Ukraine, 1,144,516 recoveries and 25,045 deaths have been recorded and 6,681,355 PCR tests have been performed.

The highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was registered in Ivano-Frankivsk region (738), Vinnytsia region (554), Chernivtsi region (522), Lviv region (420), Kyiv city (415).

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, Donetsk and Luhansk regions is not available.
