Klitschko: 148 classes in almost 100 schools in Kyiv transferred to distance learning

Some 148 classes in 97 schools in Kyiv city have been transferred to distance learning due to a rise in coronavirus cases, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

“In the capital, 148 classes have been transferred to distance learning in 97 schools. The total number of schoolchildren ill with coronavirus in Kyiv is 195; 110 teachers are also ill," he said at a press briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In addition, 30 groups in 28 kindergartens have been temporarily closed due to COVID-19 cases.

Klitschko assured that the situation with the educational process in the capital is under control.

As reported by Ukrinform, 6,531 new COVID-19 cases were laboratory confirmed in Ukraine in the past 24 hours, including 120 lethal cases.
