Government publishes resolution extending COVID-19 restrictions until April 30

The Cabinet of Ministers has published a resolution introducing a so-called adaptive quarantine in Ukraine from February 24, with four levels of epidemic danger and indicators for determining them.

According to Ukrinform, a respective document has been published on the government's website.

"The resolution enters into force on February 24, 2021, except for paragraph 10 of sub-item 4 of item 2 of the amendments approved by the resolution, which enters into force on February 18, 2021," the document reads.

According to the appendix to the document, the adaptive quarantine is introduced in Ukraine until April 30 and provides for the division of its regions into epidemic zones.

"Green, yellow, orange or red levels of epidemic danger of the spread of COVID-19 are introduced, depending on the epidemic situation in Ukraine as a whole or in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Luhansk, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv regions, as well as Kyiv and Sevastopol the appendix.

The "yellow" level of epidemic danger is established in Ukraine from February 24.

On February 17, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution introducing the adaptive quarantine in Ukraine until April 30, with four levels of epidemic danger and indicators for determining them. The provision, which comes into force on February 18, applies to matches of team sports, professional sports clubs and allows 50% of spectators to attend such matches.
