Ukraine reports 5,039 new coronavirus cases

As of February 11, Ukraine has reported 1,258,094 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 5,039 new cases recorded over the past 24 hours.

"Some 5,039 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been recorded in Ukraine as of February 11, 2021. In particular, 277 children and 281 health workers contracted COVID-19," Health Minister Maksym Stepanov posted on his Facebook page.

According to him, 124 deaths, 6,568 recoveries and 1,784 hospitalizations were registered in Ukraine in the last day.

In addition, 43,126 coronavirus tests, including 26,739 PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and 16,387 ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) tests, were performed in Ukraine in the past 24 hours.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 24,058 deaths and 1,098,944 recoveries have been recorded, and 6,474,315 PCR tests have been performed.

The highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was registered in Ivano-Frankivsk region (482), Vinnytsia region (392), Zakarpattia region (368), Zhytomyr region (367) and Kyiv city (335).
