Bed occupancy rate at COVID-19 hospitals does not exceed 40% - President’s Office

The bed occupancy rate at COVID-19 designated hospitals in Ukraine varies from 30% to 40%.

Deputy Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko stated this during the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. Coronavirus: Challenges and Responses" in Kyiv on February 8, Ukrinform reports.

"As to the bed occupancy rate - it varies from 30% to 40% in most regions. The situation is stable, and there are hospitals where we can continue increase the number of new beds if incidence rate in Ukraine grows," he said.

According to the official, out of all available hospital beds designated for the treatment of COVID-19 patients, 80% are equipped to provide oxygen.

As reported by Ukrinform, 2,141 new COVID-19 cases were registered in Ukraine in the past 24 hours, including 47 lethal cases.
