Denisova, Bogner discuss access to Ukrainians illegally detained in Crimea

Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova and Head of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine Matilda Bogner have discussed issues of access to Ukrainian citizens illegally detained in Russian-occupied Crimea.

Denisova wrote this on her Facebook page.

"We separately discussed the situation regarding my access to Ukrainian citizens illegally detained on the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea, namely in the Simferopol pretrial detention center and penal colony. I said that I have not yet received any answer in this regard from Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatiana Moskalkova," Denisova said.

According to her, during the meeting, the parties updated information on the number of illegally detained citizens and those who are considered missing in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as on the transfer of persons, who were convicted before the beginning of military aggression in Donbas, and the transfer of criminal cases from those territories.
