Highest incidence of coronavirus cases recorded in five regions, Kyiv city

The highest incidence rate of COVID-19 in Ukraine has been recorded in Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Cherkasy, Kyiv and Luhansk regions and the city of Kyiv, according to data provided by the Health Ministry on January 14.

In particular, the highest incidence of coronavirus cases over the past 14 days was registered in Mykolaiv region (388 cases per 100,000 people), Zaporizhzhia region (359.1), Cherkasy region (326.9), Kyiv region (307), Luhansk region (311.7) and Kyiv city (312.1).

An average incidence rate across Ukraine is 219.8 per 100,000 people.

The lowest incidence rate of COVID-19 cases in the past 14 days was recorded in Kirovohrad region (77.4 per 100,000 people), Zakarpattia region (94.5) and Ivano-Frankivsk region (114.7).

As of January 14, Ukraine reported 1,138,764 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 7,925 new cases recorded over the past 24 hours.
