Zelensky, Razumkov release Christmas greetings

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine wished Ukrainians merry Christmas.

"The magic of Christmas is special. To hug a loved one and children, to stay with friends. Christmas gives us the most valuable thing - love and bright hope," the President posted on Telegram.

"Let the holidays be filled with joy and love, and may Christmas bring peace, calmness and mutual understanding to every home. I wish all of us good health, well-being, strength and inspiration for new accomplishments," the press service of Ukraine’s Parliament quotes Razumkov as saying.

According to him, the festival celebrating the birth of Jesus is a wonderful occasion to gather in a family circle, to remember all the brightest moments together and to support each other.

"Miracles do happen on this day. So dream, set ambitious goals, and they will surely come true," the Speaker said.

Ukrainians celebrate Christmas according to the Julian calendar on January 7 as most Orthodox and Eastern Rite Christians.
