Health Ministry: Highest incidence of COVID-19 cases recorded in three regions and Kyiv city

The highest incidence rate of COVID-19 in Ukraine was recorded in Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Cherkasy regions and the city of Kyiv, according to data provided by the Health Ministry on January 5.

In particular, the incidence rate of COVID-19 in the past 14 days in Mykolaiv region amounted to 455.4 per 100,000 people, in Zaporizhzhia region – 447.1, in Cherkasy region – 420.3, and the city of Kyiv – 407.7 per 100,000 people.

An average incidence rate across Ukraine is 273.3 per 100,000 people.

The lowest incidence rate of COVID-19 in the past 14 days was recorded in Kirovohrad region (79.4 per 100,000 people), in Zakarpattia region (103.5), and in Vinnytsia region (120.3).

As reported by Ukrinform, a total of 1,083,585 coronavirus cases were recorded in Ukraine on January 5, including 5,334 new COVID-19 cases registered in the past 24 hours.
