Highest incidence of coronavirus cases recorded in Kyiv city and six regions

The highest incidence rate of COVID-19 in Ukraine was recorded in Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Odesa, Chernihiv regions and the city of Kyiv, according to data provided by the Health Ministry on December 30.

In particular, the incidence rate of COVID-19 in the past 14 days in Zaporizhzhia region amounted to 571 per 100,000 people, in Mykolaiv region – 515.5, in Cherkasy region – 496.5, in Kyiv region – 476.7, in Odesa region – 447.3, in Chernihiv region – 436.3, and the city of Kyiv – 505.2 per 100,000 people.

An average incidence rate across Ukraine is 329.9 per 100,000 people.

The bed occupancy rate at COVID-19 designated hospitals across the country in the past five days amounted to 38.3% as of December 29. In Kyiv city, this figure amounted to 46.8%.

The highest level of bed occupancy rate was recorded in Mykolaiv region (60.6%).

As reported by Ukrinform, a total of 1,045,348 coronavirus cases were recorded in Ukraine on December 30, including 7,986 new COVID-19 cases registered in the past 24 hours.
