Government allocates UAH 1.3B for purchases of COVID-19 vaccines

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 1.3 billion from the Fund to Combat COVID-19 to the Health Ministry for the purchase of coronavirus vaccines, the Finance Ministry’s press service reports.

On December 23, 2020, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at a special meeting approved a resolution to allocate UAH 1.3 billion to the Health Ministry from the COVID-19 Fund for the purchase of vaccines and preventive measures against the coronavirus.

The draft resolution provides for the redistribution of state budget expenditures, in particular, increased expenditures of the COVID-19 Fund by saving state budget funds, which is projected by the end of 2020 on the relevant budget programs of the main budget managers.

Implementation of the draft resolution will be carried out within the general and special funds of the state budget of Ukraine for 2020.
