British, German embassies greet Ukrainians on upcoming festive season

The British and German embassies in Ukraine have congratulated Ukrainians on the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays.

The diplomats posted their video greetings on social media.

"Despite the challenges of the outgoing year, we have not stopped our cooperation and we have been able to lay a solid foundation for the future of relations between our countries. Our Embassy team wants cooperation between the United Kingdom and Ukraine to grow and strengthen in the new year," British Ambassador Melinda Simmons said.

The team of the British Embassy in Ukraine wished humanity to finally overcome the pandemic in the new year and expressed hope that the "culture of mutual support that formed in 2020 will stay with us in the new year."

The German Embassy in Ukraine, in turn, created a funny video about a virtual Christmas party.

"In this really difficult year that we have gone through together, I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year," German Ambassador Anka Feldhusen said.
