Six hub schools established in Ukraine in November – Education Ministry

As of December 1, 2020, 1,029 hub schools were registered in Ukraine, the press service of the Education and Science Ministry reports.

"According to the latest data provided by the regional education management bodies, as of December 1, 2020, there were 1,029 hub secondary education institutions and 1,535 branches in Ukraine," reads the report.

In November, six hub schools were established across Ukraine: three hub schools - in Zakarpattia region, two - in Dnipropetrovsk region, and one – in Kyiv region.

The largest number of hub schools were established in the following regions: Kirovohrad (80), Poltava (74), Zhytomyr (71), Lviv (66), Vinnytsia (64), Kyiv (57), Sumy (54), Kharkiv (54), Dnipropetrovsk (50), Odesa (49), Chernihiv (45), Volyn (37), Zakarpattia (36), Ternopil (35), Zaporizhzhia (33), Khmelnytskyi (33) regions.

As reported by Ukrinform, next year the government intends to allocate UAH 490 million of subvention to the regions for the purchase of school buses on co-financing terms.

Hub schools in Ukraine are large schools created in the administrative center of the territorial community.
