Kyiv purchased more than 500 buses, trolleybuses and trams over past several years - Klitschko

The city of Kyiv has purchased 139 new trolleybuses, 67 modern trams and 307 new buses over the past few years, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"Our task is to continue to buy modern transport so that to displace minibuses in the coming years," the mayor said during the presentation of the annual report for 2020.

He specified that Kyiv had already received more than 160 of the 200 new MAZ buses.

"We are waiting for another batch in the near future. These are low-floor buses equipped with ramps and special places for people with disabilities. They are also equipped with video surveillance and navigation, air conditioners," said Klitschko.

According to him, the capital will receive 15 new trolleybuses by the end of December.
