Highest incidence of coronavirus cases recorded in Kyiv city, Cherkasy region

The highest incidence rate of COVID-19 in Ukraine was recorded in Kyiv city and Cherkasy region, according to data provided by the Health Ministry on December 15.

In particular, the incidence rate of COVID-19 in the past 14 days in Cherkasy region amounted to 731.5 per 100,000 people, in the city of Kyiv - 709.1.

The high incidence rate of COVID-19 in the past 14 days was also recorded in Chernihiv region - 615.4 per 100,000 people, Sumy region – 608.27, Zaporizhzhia region - 705.1, and Kyiv region – 606.5.

An average incidence rate across Ukraine is 430.5 per 100,000 people.

The bed occupancy rate at COVID-19 designated hospitals in the past five days amounted to 44.3% as of December 14. In Kyiv city, this figure amounted to 38.5%.

The high level of bed occupancy rate was recorded in Mykolaiv region (66.1%), Odesa region (55.6%), Lviv region (53.4%), Kherson region (53.8%), Cherkasy region (57.5%), and Chernihiv region (53.9%).

As reported by Ukrinform, a total of 909,082 COVID-19 cases were laboratory confirmed in Ukraine on December 15, including 8,416 new cases reported in the past 24 hours.
