Health Ministry names regions with highest incidence of COVID-19

As of November 23, the highest incidence of COVID-19 in Ukraine was recorded in Sumy, Zhytomyr, Chernivtsi and Cherkasy regions, according to data provided by the Health Ministry.

In particular, the incidence rate of COVID-19 during the past 14 days in Sumy region reached 781.2 per 100,000 population, Zhytomyr region – 664.3, Chernivtsi region – 662.2, Cherkasy region – 637.7. The high incidence rate of COVID-19 was also recorded in Khmelnytskyi region (526.9), Ivano-Frankivsk region (571.4), Zaporizhzhia region (615.3), Volyn region (526.9), Kyiv region (606.2), and Rivne region (525.9).

The incidence rate of COVID-19 in the city of Kyiv is 437.6 per 100,000 population. An average incidence rate across Ukraine is 437.6 per 100,000 population.

The bed occupancy rate at COVID-19 designated hospitals in the past five days amounted to 52% as of November 22. In Kyiv city, this figure amounted to 55.6% as of November 22.

As of November 23, 635,689 COVID-19 cases were laboratory confirmed in Ukraine, including 10,945 cases recorded during the previous day.
