Health Ministry names regions with highest incidence of COVID-19

As of November 20, the highest incidence of COVID-19 in Ukraine was recorded in Sumy, Zhytomyr and Chernivtsi regions, according to data provided by the Health Ministry.

In particular, the incidence rate of COVID-19 during the past 14 days in Sumy region reached 680.8 per 100,000 population, Zhytomyr region – 658.2, Chernivtsi region – 674. The high incidence rate of COVID-19 was also recorded in Khmelnytskyi region (547.8), Cherkasy region (517.8), Ivano-Frankivsk region (560.4), Zaporizhzhia region (597), Volyn region (518.2), Kyiv region (542.3), and Rivne region (523.6).

The incidence rate of COVID-19 in the city of Kyiv is 479.6 per 100,000 population. An average incidence rate across Ukraine is 414.6 per 100,000 population.

The bed occupancy rate at COVID-19 designated hospitals in the past five days amounted to 52% as of November 20. In Kyiv city, this figure amounted to 53.3%.

As of November 20, Ukraine reported 598,085 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 14,575 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
