Kyiv city reports 1,053 new COVID-19 cases

Kyiv city has confirmed 1,053 new coronavirus cases in the past day, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"The dynamics of morbidity rate in the capital is not decreasing. Over the past day, 1,053 new coronavirus cases were recorded. Twelve people died. In total, the coronavirus claimed the lives of 950 Kyiv residents. As of today, Kyiv city has reported 49,699 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus cases,” Klitschko posted on Telegram.

In particular, 604 women aged 18-86 years, 36 girls aged between two months and 17 years old, 376 men aged 18-89 years, 37 boys aged between six months and 17 years old were tested positive. In addition, 39 health workers contracted coronavirus over the past day.

Some 73 patients were hospitalized in the past 24 hours.

Since the start of the pandemic, 18,702 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease, including 369 people over the past day.

As of November 14, Ukraine reported 525,176 COVID-19 cases, including 12,524 new coronavirus cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
