Health Ministry names regions with highest incidence of COVID-19

As of November 13, the highest incidence of COVID-19 in Ukraine was recorded in Chernivtsi, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, according to data provided by the Health Ministry.

In particular, the incidence rate of COVID-19 during the past 14 days in Chernivtsi region has reached 652.1 per 100,000 population, Zhytomyr region – 604.2, Khmelnytskyi region - 537.8, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 501.2.

The lowest incidence rate of COVID-19 in the last 14 days has been reported in Kirovohrad region (118.8), Dnipropetrovsk region (166.1), and Luhansk region (203).

The incidence rate of COVID-19 in the city of Kyiv is 400.6 per 100,000 population. An average incidence rate across Ukraine is 351.6 per 100,000 population.

The bed occupancy rate at COVID-19 designated hospitals amounted to 54.5% as of November 12.

The largest number of hospitals is occupied in Poltava region – 76.9% (92.5% as of November 8), Zakarpattia region – 69.1%, Kyiv region – 63.9%, and Chernivtsi region – 69.2%. In Kyiv city, this figure amounted to 53.8% as of November 12.

As Ukrinform reported, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to abandon a so-called adaptive quarantine and impose orange-level restrictions throughout the country. The government also decided to impose a three-week weekend lockdown, starting from November 14-15.

As of November 13, Ukraine confirmed 11,787 new COVID-19 cases during the previous day, bringing the total to 512,652.
