Ukraine, WHO sign collaborative agreement - Stepanov

The government of Ukraine and the World Health Organization (WHO) have signed a Biennial Collaborative Agreement (BCA).

Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"We have signed a Biennial Collaborative Agreement between Ukraine and the World Health Organization," the minister wrote.

According to Stepanov, the agreement outlines a clear "road map" for further joint work, in particular, to address such challenges as the current high incidence of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and tuberculosis.

"The fight against the pandemic does not stop our activities in implementing strategic and qualitative changes in the healthcare system," the minister stressed.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the agreement was signed at an online ceremony.
