The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a resolution on the allocation of additional funds for the purchase of PCR tests to detect COVID-19.

Health Minister Maksym Stepanov stated this at a press briefing on October 30, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Yesterday the government at its meeting approved another important resolution on the allocation of additional funds for the Health Ministry for the purchase of rapid tests and additional laboratory equipment, the allocation of funds for the purchase of additional laboratory equipment for public healthcare facilities. These are those hospitals that already have PCR laboratories and want to increase their capacity,” Stepanov said.

As reported, 378,729 COVID-19 cases were laboratory confirmed in Ukraine as of October 30, including 8,312 cases recorded during the previous day.
