UAH 100-150M needed to produce Ukrainian COVID-19 vaccine - Stepanov

About UAH 100-150 million will be needed to produce a Ukrainian vaccine for COVID-19, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov has said.

"Calculations will be made, and I believe that the production of this vaccine will be fully financed by the state. The president of Ukraine insists on that. It will cost more than 100-150 million hryvnias," Stepanov said at a briefing on Thursday, October 22.

He noted that the Ukrainian vaccine is original and it differs from all other vaccines currently undergoing clinical trials.

On October 20, the developers presented to President Volodymyr Zelensky the results of the preclinical phase of the study of the original Ukrainian vaccine candidate against COVID-19.
