Kyiv reports 598 new coronavirus cases

Kyiv city has recorded 598 new coronavirus cases in the past day, bringing the total to 30,010, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

Twelve patients have died over the course of the past day. Overall, 569 people have died from coronavirus, Klitschko wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to the mayor, among people who have contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv in the past day are 345 women aged 18-97 years; 15 girls aged 2-17 years; 210 men aged 18-81 years; and 18 boys aged between seven months and 17 years old. In addition, 28 health workers have tested positive for COVID-19.

At the same time, 186 Kyiv residents have recovered over the course of the past day. In total, 10,661 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As reported by Ukrinform, some 293,641 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Ukraine as of October 17, including 6,410.new cases recorded during the previous day.
