Highest number of new COVID-19 cases reported in Kharkiv and Sumy regions

The highest number of new COVID-19 cases in Ukraine on October 11 has been confirmed in Kharkiv and Sumy regions, according Health Minister Maksym Stepanov.

“Over the course of the past day, the highest number of new confirmed cases was registered in Kharkiv region - 741, including Kharkiv city - 47, Sumy region – 418, including Sumy city – 299, Poltava region – 244, Khmelnytskyi region – 219, Kyiv region – 213 cases,” Stepanov said at a press briefing on October 12, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

As reported by Ukrinform, some 265,454 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Ukraine as of October 12, including 4,420 new cases recorded on October 11.
