Number of IDPs from Donbas, Crimea increased by over 42,000 over a year

In Ukraine, the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas and Crimea has increased by more than 42,000 over the past year. As of October 6, 2020, a total of 1,459,302 IDPs were registered, according to the Social Policy Ministry.

"As of October 6, 2020, according to the Unified Information Database of Internally Displaced Persons, 1,459,302 internally displaced persons from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea were registered," the report says.

According to the Social Policy Ministry, a year ago, as of October 7, 2019, 1,411,083 internally displaced persons from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea were registered, which is 48,219 people less than today.
