Kyiv city reports 400 new COVID-19 cases

Kyiv city has confirmed 400 new coronavirus cases in the past day, bringing the total number to 19,140, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

“Over the past day, the coronavirus disease has been confirmed in 400 people. Eight patients have died. In total, COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 312 Kyiv residents,” Klitschko wrote on Telegram.

According to the mayor, among people who contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv in the past day were 199 women aged 18-83 years; 13 girls aged between 2 months and 16 years; 165 men aged 17-87 years; and 23 boys aged between 1 month and 17 years. In addition, 12 healthcare workers tested positive for COVID-19.

At the same time, 5,828 Kyiv residents have already overcome the disease.

On September 19, Ukraine reported 172,712 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 3,240 new cases recorded over the past 24 hours.
