Kyiv city records 315 new COVID-19 cases

Kyiv city has confirmed 315 new coronavirus cases in the past day, bringing the total number to 14,792, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

“The number of coronavirus patients is not decreasing in the capital. Over the past day, the virus was confirmed in 315 people. Four patients have died. In total, the coronavirus took the lives of 234 Kyiv residents,” Klitschko wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to the mayor, among people who have contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv in the past day are 163 women aged 22-89 years; 9 girls aged 1 month and 15 years; 132 men aged 19-86 years; and 11 boys aged 4-17 years old. In addition, 7 healthcare workers have tested positive for COVID-19.

At the same time, 97 people have recovered over the course of the past day. In total, 4,713 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As of September 5, Ukraine reported 133,787 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 2,836 new cases recorded over the past day.
