Kyiv reports 265 new coronavirus cases in past day

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Kyiv city reached 12,984, including 265 new cases confirmed in the past 24 hours, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"Another 265 Kyiv residents, including 19 children, contracted coronavirus over the past day. Six people died. In total, coronavirus claimed the lives of 193 Kyiv residents. The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Kyiv city reached 12,984," Klitschko posted on Telegram.

In particular, 129 women aged 19-78 years, 10 girls aged 4-17 years, 117 men aged 19-81 years, and nine boys aged 2-12 years were tested positive. Eleven health workers contracted coronavirus over the past day.

Since the start of the pandemic, 4,229 Kyiv residents have recovered from coronavirus, including 159 people over the past day.

As of August 29, Ukraine reported 116,978 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 2,481 new cases recorded over the past 24 hours.
