Danilov soon to submit issue of education reform for consideration by NSDC

The systemic crisis in the field of education poses a real threat to Ukraine's national security, so the reform of the education sector in the context of improving the state policy of innovative development should be considered by Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) in the near future, according to NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov.

"Based on the results of the analysis of the state of the higher education system in the context of national security conducted with the help of the SOTA software and hardware system, it is possible to draw a conclusion about the systemic crisis in this area, which poses potential and real threats to Ukraine's state and national security," the NSDC press service quoted Danilov as saying.

According to him, science and technology of developed countries are far ahead of domestic ones, so it is worth focusing on the main areas of new and breakthrough technologies that have been identified by NATO experts and that will have a decisive impact on socio-economic development and national and collective security in the next 20 years.

According to the report, such areas include Big Data and Advanced Analytics (BDAA); Artificial Intelligence (AI); autonomy technologies (in particular robotics); quantum technologies (QT); space technologies; hypersonic technologies; Bio & Human Enhancement Technologies (BHET); Novel Materials and Manufacturing (NMM).

According to the press service, Danilov called for focusing on the revival of Ukraine's scientific and technological potential. "The development of science-intensive industries that shape the competitive advantages of any state will allow counteracting a wide range of existing and future threats," Danilov said.
