Some 70 rescuers arrive in Avdiivka to restore houses damaged by invaders

In the frontline town of Avdiivka, 70 rescuers of the State Emergency Service arrived from different cities of Ukraine to restore houses damaged by Russian invaders.

“The second stage of restoration work has begun. Today, August 20, 70 rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine arrived in the town of Avdiivka from the town of Zherebkove (Odesa region), the cities of Chernihiv and Rivne. They will continue to restore houses damaged as a result of hostilities in our city,” reads a report on the website of Avdiivka Civil and Military Administration.

Within two months, rescuers will carry out work to restore about 200 residential buildings in the town. All work is financed from the regional budget.

As Ukrinform reported, on June 11, 2020, 30 employees of the State Emergency Service from Odesa and Lviv regions began to restore residential buildings that were damaged as a result of the hostilities in the Joint Forces Operation area in Donbas. On August 17, these employees were sent for rotation.
