Over half of Ukrainians support Ukraine's accession to EU - poll

More than 50% of citizens support Ukraine's accession to the European Union, and a little less than half are in favor of their country joining NATO, according to a joint survey conducted by the Socis Center and the Razumkov Center.

If a referendum on Ukraine's accession to the European Union were held in the near future, 57.9% of Ukrainians would support such a decision, 26.9% would vote against it, 5.8% would not participate in the referendum, and 9.5% of respondents could not answer.

At the same time, 47.7% of respondents would vote for Ukraine's accession to NATO, almost a third of Ukrainians would vote against it, 6.5% would not come to such a referendum, and 13% were undecided.

The survey titled "Socio-political situation in Ukraine" was conducted by the Socis Center and the Razumkov Center on July 21-28, 2020. The results represent the adult population of Ukraine in general, excluding the non-government-controlled territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. A total of 4,000 respondents aged over 18 years were interviewed.
