Health Ministry updates list of ‘red zone’ and ‘green zone’ countries

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has updated the list of countries that are classified as "green zone" or "red zone" depending on a number of active COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population.

According to the list available on the Ministry’s website, the "green zone" now covers the Czech Republic, Belarus, Croatia, Turkey, Slovenia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Austria, Georgia, Canada.

Ukraine is in the "green zone" having 38.10 active COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population.

In addition, the list of "red zone" countries includes Greece, Poland, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Romania, Albania.

People arriving from the "red zone" countries are required to undergo 14-day observation or self-isolate and sign up in the Dii Vdoma application.

If a person gets a PCR test for COVID-19 and receives a negative result, they are allowed to cease self-isolation.

On August 1, the Ministry of Health changed the indicators for classifying countries as being from a "green zone" or "red zone".

The Ministry takes into account the increase in a number of patients over past 14 days in a country compared to the increase in Ukraine and the increase in the percentage of patients in a country over past 14 days compared to the previous 14 days.
