Highest number of new coronavirus cases recorded in Lviv region

The highest number of new coronavirus cases in Ukraine in the past 24 hours have been confirmed in the Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa regions and the city of Kyiv.

Health Minister Maksym Stepanov stated this at a briefing on July 21, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“The highest number of new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours have been recorded in Lviv region - 114, Zakarpattia region - 78, Ivano-Frankivsk – region  75, Odesa region – 65, and Kyiv City - 73," said Stepanov.

According to him, new coronavirus cases have been confirmed among 50 children and 35 health workers over the course of the past day. In total, 4,254 children and 8,020 health workers have contracted COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.

In addition, Ukraine has conducted 24,644 coronavirus tests in the past 24 hours, including 10,529 PCR and 14,115 ELISA tests.

As reported, Ukraine confirmed a total of 60,166 cases of COVID-19 on July 21, including 673 cases that were reported over the course of the previous day.
