Kyiv intensifies quarantine measures

Kyiv authorities have limited the opening hours of catering and entertainment facilities. Now they should close at 22:00.

"Pursuant to the Government’s decree, the city has decided to intensify anti-epidemic measures in the capital. In particular, the opening hours of catering and entertainment facilities, including cinemas, are limited. Now they should close at 22:00. Mass cultural, entertainment, sports and advertising events are also limited and should end at 22:00," Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko announced at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

These restrictions are forced and aim to curb the spread of coronavirus disease, the mayor added.

As of July 1, Ukraine has reported 44,998 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 664 cases in last day.

Kyiv city has confirmed 101 new cases of the coronavirus COVID-19 over the past day, bringing the total number of cases in the city to 5,138.
