President informed of record number of COVID-19 deaths

Most people who died from coronavirus in Ukraine over the past day were elderly and had severe comorbidities.

This was discussed at the traditional conference call on preventing the spread of coronavirus led by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the press service of the Head of State reports.

 “The epidemic situation was also discussed at the meeting. The President is concerned about the record number of deaths from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours (31 people). The Head of State was informed that the vast majority of the dead were elderly and had severe comorbidities,” the statement reads.

As reported, Ukraine’s cases of the coronavirus COVID-19 rose to 33,234 as of June 17, including 758 new cases in the previous day. Thirty-one people died last day.
