President insists on insurance for all health workers at frontline

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky insists on insurance for all healthcare workers working on the frontline.

He said this at a traditional meeting with representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers and government departments responsible for measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the president’s press service reports.

"We talked about a good example of Luhansk Regional State Administration, which insured all health workers working on the frontline. I have already noted that this must be implemented throughout Ukraine. Please, gather all the documents that will make it clear when our doctors will be insured,” Zelensky addressed Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Chernyshov.

The head of state also supported the idea of attracting volunteers to help comply with security measures.

"It's a very good idea. I support its implementation in Ukraine. Volunteers could remind people of the need for social distance, wearing masks. Thus, during the quarantine exit, we would remember that the threat still exists and safety rules must be followed," Zelensky said.
