Italian foreign minister thanks Ukrainian doctors for assistance in treating coronavirus - Avakov

Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio has thanked doctors from different countries, including Ukraine, for their assistance in treating coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov wrote this on Twitter, having reposted a tweet by the Italian foreign minister.

"Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio also says 'dyakuyu' in Ukrainian in his post, addressing our doctors, who, together with their colleagues from 11 other countries, stood together with Italian doctors during the most critical period of the epidemic in the Apennines," Avakov wrote.

According to him, the Italian foreign minister emphasized that Italy will never forget this assistance.

On April 4, 20 Ukrainian doctors left for Italy to help Italian doctors fight COVID-19.

Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said on April 20 that Ukrainian doctors would stay in Italy until April 25.
