Over 170 Ukrainians undergoing treatment for coronavirus abroad

Some 171 Ukrainians were undergoing treatment for coronavirus as of 18:00 on April 12, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.

Six Ukrainian citizens died abroad of the Covid-19 disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

According to the report, 24 Ukrainians recovered, in particular, five in Poland, four each in the Dominican Republic and Japan, two each in Italy and Nigeria, and one each in Britain, Egypt, UAE, Thailand, Germany, Sweden, and Switzerland.

Ukrainian citizens abroad are receiving treatment in Austria, Belgium, Greece, Spain, Italy, Malta, Nigeria, Netherlands, UAE, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Seychelles, Serbia, the U.S., Thailand, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Sweden.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that as of 18:00 on April 12, 15,575 Ukrainian citizens had applied to diplomatic institutions as part of the Protection system.

A total of 2,777 coronavirus cases were confirmed in Ukraine as of April 12. Eighty-three people died of the disease, and 89 patients have already recovered.
